History
Alumni.NET is a global alumni registry that first went online in 1994. The Registry was started by Mr. Eric Tomacruz, Ph.D. , as a way to get in touch with his friends from high school. Soon, more schools were being added to the registry as more and more people were getting connected to the internet as well. What began as a hobby became a full-scale multi-national registry.
With our tag line "Bringing School and Work Friends Together", we aim to help re-unite old school friends so that we may enrich lives by facilitating communication in relationships. With the world smaller via the Internet, we encourage our members to plan a reunion, exchange photos, or catch up on old times… all of which are possible through Alumni.NET
Alumni.NET has since grown to include millions of registered users from over 102,000 organizations around the globe, and is growing in number everyday. | August 2011 | Alumni.NET partners with DonorsChoose.ORG, SmartSchools.PH, and Philipine Deped Adopt a School Program |
| February 2012 | Alumni.NET becomes part of PlugAndPlayTechCenter.COM accelerator program. |
| May 2012 | Alumni.NET introduces the News Section for colleges and universities. |
| July 2012 | Alumni.NET launches Deals & Donate in affiliation with numerous sites (Travelzoo, TravelSmart.NET, Living Social, Groupon, Viagogo, Etc.). Each purchase results in a donation to the school of the alumni. |
| August 2012 | Alumni.NET helps users find jobs in affiliation with Indeed. Millions of jobs worldwide from thousands of company and employment sites become accessible to the members. |
| September 2012 | Alumni.NET reintroduces its News & Updates email. |
| April 2013 | Alumni.NET introduces school reviews by students, alumni, parent, employee, and employers of alumni. |
| July 2013 | Alumni.NET job alert emails reach over 1M members each month. |
| July 2016 | Alumni.NET partners with FindShare to provide top news for universities and colleges. |
| June 2017 | Alumni.NET launches top social media postings for 2,500 schools. |
| February 2018 | Alumni.NET launches Admissions Tab for college groups. Each page shows a compilation of admissions news, social media posts, and videos. |
