Westfield High School is a high school located in unincorporated Harris County, Texas. The school, which serves grades 9-12, is a part of the Spring Independent School District. 9th graders go to the Westfield Ninth Grade Center campus while 10-12 graders go to the main campus. The school, in the Westfield community, has a "Houston, Texas" postal address. The school was built in 1976, and was originally called "Spring High South", serving the district's freshmen and sophomore students while the junior and senior students attended the main Spring High School campus. In the 1981-1982 school year it became a full four-year high school and its name was changed to "Westfield." Westfield High School is accredited by the Texas Education Agency and the Southern Association for Secondary Schools and Colleges. [1]

In the spring of 2002, the school received designation as a Recognized School by the Texas Education Agency. For the last two years, the Lone Star Cup has ranked Westfield in the top five schools for excellence in academics and athletics in Texas 5-A schools. Approximately 3,200 students in grades 10-12 attend Westfield beginning in mid-August and ending in late May. About 1,500 students attend the Westfield 9th Grade Center. Most classes are 50 minutes long for seven periods a day. The fifth period is 70-minutes long to enable students to earn up to 7 credits per school year. The school year is divided into two, eighteen-week semesters. [1]
