Caddo Parish Magnet High School, or simply "Magnet" as it is known in by its students, is located in Shreveport, Louisiana at 1601 Viking Drive. Its motto is "In our hands we hold today; in our minds we hold tomorrow." Its goal is stated "To share what we know, what we have, and what we are with others." The school colors are gold and red, while the mascot is a mustang. The principal is Mary Rounds. The assistant principals include Bryan Gallant (discipline), Queen Snyder and Sheryl Thomas (both curriculum and instruction).[1]

Caddo Magnet High School focuses to a great extent on preparing its students for college. In fact, 93% of their students attend college after graduation; over the past 23 years, Magnet students have been awarded 67 million dollars in both merit and need-based scholarships.[1]
