Hopewell High School sits on a hill at 1215 Longview Ave. in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. Its current principal is Mr. Mike Allison. Its current vice-principal is Ms. Susan Kazmierczak. The school's athletic teams are known as the Vikings. Viking teams have held the following Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association championships: baseball, 1986; football, 2002; girls volleyball, 2004; girls basketball, 2006, 2007. Hopewell's girls volleyball team is a four-time defending champion in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League. Although HHS was given a Keystone Achievement Recognition award in 2007 (maintaining the correct AYP-Annual Yearly Progress) by the state of Pennsylvania, it currently has no visual communications, shop, or school-to-work program. Due to the current lack of available classes, most students sit in 1 to 3 study halls yearly. [1]
