Falls Church
Falls Church is an independent city in Virginia, United States. The population was 11,169 in 2008, up from 10,377 in 2000. This city is a part of the Washington Metropolitan Area. A much larger number of people reside in Greater Falls Church in Fairfax County and use Falls Church as their mailing addresses. The Bureau of Economic Analysis combines the City of Falls Church (along with Fairfax City) with Fairfax County for statistical purposes. Falls Church also borders Arlington County. Independent cities are considered by the Census Bureau to be county equivalents. They're found in three states aside from Virginia: Maryland, Missouri, and Nevada.[1]
