Triangle Metro Zoo was a small privately operated zoo that operated from 1998 until 2006, just North of Raleigh, North Carolina.The zoo originated from Larry Seibel's long experience in breeding exotic animals. It was situated in a heavily forested area astride a small stream. The area of North Carolina in which the zoo was located is referred to as "the Triangle" because it is comprised of the three larger cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
