The Technological Institute of the Philippines or "TIP" is a private institution of higher learning in the Philippines which is known in the fields of engineering. TIP was established by a group of educators headed by Engr. Demetrio A. Quirino Jr. in February 8, 1962. TIP has two campuses in the Metropolitan Manila, TIP Manila and TIP Quezon City. [1]
- 1967 - Set-up its main site at 888 G. Puyat St., Quiapo, Manila.
- 1977 - Offered a two-year associate course in Marine Engineering.
- 1980 - Liberal Arts and High School programs were phased out to make way for the school's new thrust.
- 1981 - Additional buildings were leased to accommodate the student population which already exceeded 23,000.
- 1983 - Opened the Quezon City campus located at 20th Avenue, Cubao.
- 1997 - Six-storey Founder's Hall was inaugurated on February 5 in TIP Casal, Manila. [1]
