- History & Memorable Moments
Anderson County High School was created in 1983 from the high schools of Norris and Lake City. Since that time, the school population has grown from around 700 students to nearly 1100. During our twenty-seven year history, ACHS has had eight principals: Mr. Pat Cotter, Ms. Sally Jackson, Mr. John Price, Mr. Gene Wright, Mr. Tom Heffern, Dr. Bob McCracken, Mr. Greg Deal, and currently Mrs. Andrea Russell. ACHS is located in what is considered the fastest growing section of Anderson County.[1]
