- Overview
North Hollywood High School, originally called Lankershim High School when it opened in 1927, is a secondary school in North Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. The school mascot is the husky, and the school colors are blue, white and grey. [1]
North Hollywood High School is located in the San Fernando Valley and enrolls approximately 3000 students each year. It is located in District 2 of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Several neighborhoods, including most of North Hollywood, Valley Village, Studio City and Sun Valley, send students to this school. [1]
As of 2012, the school principal is Dr. Randall V. Delling. From 2000 to 2007, North Hollywood High was a year-round school with 3 tracks (A, B, and C). During the 2007-2008 school year, a traditional calendar was re-adopted. The school itself is divided into many small learning communities (SLCs). [1]
