West Negros College was founded in 1948 by three Baptist women leaders - Luciana Aritao, Teresa Padilla and Rosario Remitio. They believed that the school would fulfill their dream of Filipinos embracing Christian ideals and tenets. On February 11, 2008, the Commission on Higher Education found West Negros College to be in full compliance of their requirements and granted West Negros College status as a University. [1]
