- History & Memorable Moments
The school was established with only fifteen students by its founder Mudliar S. Thomas de Silva in 1913, who spent his own wealth for the development of this school. [1]
On April 10, 1929, the Sugatha Sasondaya Samithiya (a benevolent society) took over the college. The state took control of the school in 1961, after which twenty-five government principals were appointed in succession. [1]
