Stella Maris College is a private, Catholic, learning institution run by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. Located in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines, it is one of the top exclusive girls' schools in the country. Established in 1955, it is situated in what was once an upper-middle class area of the capital city. [1]
Located within the serene campus is the Chapel of the Lilies. This, and a magnificent mural of St. Francis of Assisi in one of its buildings, remains two of the most beloved and memory-evoking spots in the mind of every alumna. [1]
Founded by German Catholic missionary nuns, it is known for academic excellence and for producing well-rounded graduates. The elementary and high school departments provide rigid training in the areas of math, social sciences, English, and natural sciences. For decades now, the former college building has been home to an expanded population of high school students, which have tremendously increased the number of graduates from the high school to university level. [1]
A great majority of high school graduates qualify and finish at least a bachelor's degree at some of the more prestigious universities in the country and abroad. The school boasts of its share of alumnae who have made significant contributions to their little corner of the world, while being faithful to the motto: To truth, through charity. [1]
