From Mbarara town after you have crossed the River Rwizi on the Mbarara - Kabale Road you detour on the kikagate road as you immediately begin ascending the Nyamitanga Hill. You by-pass Maryhill High school and St Helens Primary School. Proceeding along the tarmac you by-pass Nyamitanga Technical College and The Holy Innocents hospital after which you immediately turn right and ascend to the small town of Nsikye. Here you find a junction from which one of the roads leads to St. Joseph’s on the top of the hill. From this junction you can in fact read the sign post on the wall gates of St. Joseph’s Vocational School.
